When and how do I get a SELF-RATING?
If you are entering an NTRP tournament or just want to self rate, the TennisLink system will not permit you to complete the self rate process. This process has been designed exclusively for a USTA League registration.
The system knows all individuals with valid computer or current self rates. You will be asked to complete the self rate process if you are not in the system.
If you are not sure that your computer rating is still valid because you have not played in a USTA League for a few years, please see the attached chart to see if you will be asked to self rate. Electronic self rate active on TennisLink - Regulation 3.01 (D) Players who do not have a computer rating on file in TennisLink shall self-rate in accordance with the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) Guidelines and complete the self-rating process on TennisLink when registering for a team. Failure to do so or omission of information regarding a player's tennis history will subject the player, the captain and /or others who condoned inaccurate self-rating to sanctions and disqualifications.
The USTA League Committee asks all players, captains, coordinators, tennis professionals and volunteers to maintain the integrity of the NTRP Rating System.
