Umpiring opportunities for 2008

The following are some umpiring opportunities for 2008 at McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland.

(For directions to the campus and a map, see below.)

Please email me about your availability (and whether you are available

full or half days). I will confirm receipt by email and then get back to

you with specific directions and instructions as we approach each

tournament. (Feel free to tell me you are signing up tentatively as I

can always confirm at a later date.)

For all tournaments at McDonogh, lunch is included daily (except the MIAA

which starts at 3:15 p.m.) and pay starts at $12 an hour (and goes up

depending on conditions, length of day, etc.). For most tournaments, we

also provide t-shirts and gift-bags.

The NEMA (New England/Mid-Atlantic) Invitational

The Maryland State Junior Outdoor Tennis Championships

The IAAM League Championships

TBA -- late October or early November

Note: For the last day of the MIAA, the last few days of the National 12s,

or any day of the NEMA and Wheelchair, we will probably go indoors - to Green Spring

Racquet Club – if the weather is very bad.

Directions:

To get to McDonogh School, take the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), which is

accessible from the north or south by I-95 and from the west by I-70 or

I-83, to Exit 20 (Garrison-Pikesville). Go north on Reisterstown Road

(toward Garrison and Reisterstown - NOT south toward Pikesville). At the

sixth light, turn left on McDonogh Road. Continue about one mile; the

School is on the right. NOTE: The street address is 8600 McDonogh Road

Owings Mills, MD BUT for search engines, like Maquest, you need to

make it Pikesville, MD 21208). I'll send on-campus directions
