MID-ATLANTIC TENNIS UMPIRES
ASSOCIATION
2008 AVAILABILITY FORMS
Mid Atlantic Section will have the USTA Girls 16s National Clay Court Championships; the USTA Boys and Girls 14s National Open Hard Court Championships and the USTA Boys and Girls 12s National Open Hard Court Championships beginning mid May into July. Specific dates and locations are listed on the particular availability forms, which are attached. Please read all information carefully and respond timely to the particular event's No Later Than (NLT) date.
The Girls
Additionally, a National and/or Sectional
Trainer/Evaluator will be on site at the National Open Championships to conduct
evaluations and assist newer officials to improve their skills. Evaluations are needed to maintain and to
raise certification levels.
Please note that in addition to these national and
professional events, there are many other events in our area that require
qualified officials. These include
junior tournaments held every weekend; high school championships; college dual
meets and conference championships; sectional championships of all levels and
club championships. These events are
the backbone of Mid-Atlantic Tennis officiating and you should make every
effort to work these tournaments.
Yours in tennis,
Ernie Mosby
